A CALL TO ACTION FOR KAUA’I YOUTH

When people ask who should be involved in Keiki to Career, we say “everyone!”. There are roles we all can play, from individuals to large organizations. For example:

Parents and Ohana:

Read early – read often! Read to young children in the home.
Eat more family meals together every week.

Individuals:

Become a reading mentor in the classroom.

Community Groups:

Buy books for children to take home, keep and treasure.
Spread the word for families to eat more meals together

Businesses:

Volunteer with high schools to make their classroom learning more relevant
Provide flex time for your employees to attend school events.
Support organizations that increase reading.
